A 40+ page in-depth InteriorPak E-book comes with each version of Vue 6 InteriorPak. Plenty of diagrams and illustrations combine instructions and insights into how best to create great interior renderings in Vue.

Finally, Interior Rendering in Vue 6 made easy.

Now, users of Vue 6 Esprit, Infinite, and xStream can render photorealistic interiors like the ones show here. Vue 6 InteriorPak™ makes it easy to systematically setup interiors for rendering in Vue.

Why do you need Vue 6 InteriorPak?

Up to now, interior rendering in Vue 6 was a frustrating experience. Some have even called the quest a Holy Grail! If you're serious about creating photoreal interiors, then look for yourself at the renders on this page. They were all created using our systemized approach and they represent optimized render settings and scene setups, all available with Vue 6 InteriorPak.

So, how does it work?

Just like our best selling product, TerraPak™, we started our research outside of Vue. We studied some of the best interior rendering packages and examined their secrets and how they achieved outstanding results. Next, we created a basic interior in Vue 6 and generated lots of test renders. The settings and statistics were stored in a spreadsheet so we could see what worked and what didn't. And after creating our render 'forumulas,' we tested them on different types of interiors. We then discussed our different techniques with e-on software's engineers, who provided valuable insights into how Vue's radiosity engine works.

We ended up designing a fail-safe lighting model, which uses ZERO lights, and called it the Vue 6 Ambient Interior Lighting Model. While this model isn't necessary for all renders, it helps set things up and goes a long way in optimizing the chances for a truly photorealistic interior. The top Recreation Room image on this page, uses ZERO lights, and only the Ambient Interior Lighting Model. (click image to enlarge).

All the time, we focussed on a no compromise rendering strategy for use in Vue Esprit, Infinite and xStream.

The goal is to create stunning interior renders using a systemized approach for setting up and rendering interior scenes in Vue 6. We believe our step-by-step manual, provides just that.

For Esprit and Infinite users, there's the Simple Method for Final Render Settings. And for those a bit more interested in the details, there's the Vue 6 Infinite and xStream Method for Final Render Settings.

Are there lighting models other than Ambient?

Certainly! In fact the conference room interior picture above has zero ambient lights and is solely lit by the spotlights in the ceiling and the tracklights above. Also, the Japanese interior room is lit both using the Ambient Light Model along with added sunlight coming in through the door.

What's included?

Bitmaps
Just like all our 'Paks,' Vue 6 InteriorPak is a collection of items. We've created 53 different tileable wood and other material bitmap files, which you can use in a variety of ways to add the necessary texture maps to your scenes. They've been conveniently organized into Lo Rez, Med Rez, and Hi Rez folders.

Scenes
Both the Recreation Room and the Conference Room scenes are included, so you can take them apart, view the settings and see what works.

Objects
We've included 22 different objects which you can insert into your scenes. They are all great for interior rendering as they don't have too many polygons which eat up precious rendertime and resources. We've also included different scale objects for Esprit users, so they can be sure and render their interiors at the correct scale, which is most important for accurate renderings in Vue 6.

Atmosphere
There's one atmosphere included, it's called the Starter Ambient Atmosphere. You'll use it to set up and stage all of your Vue 6 interior renders.

Vue 6 InteriorPak Manual
The most important component, the InteriorPak Manual, is more than 40 pages with illustrations and step-by-step instructions on how to set up your interior scene and render settings. We've also included a post processing section with some nifty tricks you can use in Photoshop to enhance your final render.

Who's it for?

For starters, if you're new to Vue, and have just purchased Vue 6 Esprit, Infinite or xStream, then I suggest you first take the time to learn the software. InteriorPak assumes a base level understanding of how to use the Vue 6 line of products.

It's also not an interior scene construction toolkit either. You should already have an interior model in mind which you want to render. While Vue 6 InteriorPak does include some great texture maps and models, it's more for learning the systematic approach, and certainly isn't all encompassing.

It's not for folks with slow computers. Radiosity is the most processor intensive lighting model Vue has, and it can take more time to render than some other scenes you may have. That said, sometimes things can render decently fast, too. Case in point, the below wharehouse scene rendered in 47 minutes on a basic Dual Core desktop with 2Gb memory.

If you're a serious Vue 6 customer using Esprit, Infinite or xStream on a Mac or PC, then this product will work for you.
