Step 1: Dictation Doctor dictates on hand held digital recorder, PDA or telephone.
Step 2: Voice files are uploaded to our secure server The recorder is placed in a cradle connected to a computer and to the Internet. Files are automatically removed from the recorder and uploaded to our secure servers within seconds. Phone dictations are routed directly to our servers.
Step 3: Jobs are automatically routed to pre-assigned MT pools Administrators can prioritize, assign or reassign as needed. Doctors and assistants can set STAT jobs for priority routing.
Step 4: MT receives and transcribes job MT logs in to secure site, transcribes job and releases to QA or to Doctor.
Step 5: Job is automatically uploaded to server and routed back to doctor Completed job is automatically uploaded and routed to QA or to Doctor. Copies can be automatically forwarded to referring doctors.
Step 6: Job is reviewed and approved by Doctor The transcription manager can review and edit jobs online. Doctors can edit and electronically sign transcriptions.
