HemMedia QuickStart
The HemMedia plugin allows Hemingway webs to be rendered as a standalone playable file. It looks very much like a typical help type file, with an outline on the left and the contents on the right. Unlike most help files, HemMedia can also display images as well. Here's the basics for how it works:
1) You export your web to a .zip file using the Export Web as XML button in the Web Settings 3 tab of the web settings. You may export as many different webs as you like and combine them into one HemMedia document.
2) Click on the HemMedia plugin button at the top right of the HemPC interface. This launches the HemMedia data window and developer window.
3) You Import your HemMedia zip files by pressing the Add HemPC Zip.. button. Provide a name for your HemMedia window in the HemMedia Name field. Check the Chapter Settings checkboxes, then press the Build HemMedia button to import all the content from your webs.
4) Click on the Stack Window. You can hilite different lines in the left outline column to put the data in the right column. You can edit content as you wish, then save the file using the Save Stact.. button on the Developer Mode window.
5) Close all windows, then download the HemMedia Player application for the platform you want to work with. Put the file you saved in the same folder as the HemMedia Player application and when you start the player, the file will automatically be launched.
