Find a website and choose a Button

button

Here's a button which we're going to build from scratch. It's from the FreeButtons.com website. Click on this button to view the webpage. Then click back to come back here.

Find a button on FreeButtons.com which has some buttons you like (or search for free buttons in Google). Then right-click on the blank button(s) to download it. If you can find a website which has both the 'Normal' and 'Mouse Over' states, so much the better!

This button above has two states: A Normal state (how it looks when you first see it) and a Mouse Over state (how it looks when your mouse pointer is on top of it). ButtonGadget can automatically build the correct javascript code for both these states. Of course, you can choose to just have ButtonGadget build the JPG files for you and you can add the html and javascript later.

You can use GIF (with a transparency channel) or JPG* image files.

*Note, if you use JPG, then you won't be able to match the background color in ButtonGadget...which is okay if the JPG already has a background color which works with the website your building.
