Hardy Cutting
When using a Hot Cut Hardy to cut hot steel, it is important to rotate the steel around and not hit the hardy directly with the hammer.

Hardy Safety

This picture shows the hammer handle resting on the hardy when not in use -- always a good practice. Notice the hot cut hardy is very sharp and dangerous while exposed.

Hardy Cut

This picture shows the Hardy being used to cut round or square metal. The metal is heated then placed on the hardy and striked with a hammer blow. It is then rotated slightly and stuck again. dependiy on the desired finished end form, the material can be tilted to create either beveled or straight ends.
