Blood Toys
This is a rendering of a German 'Free Energy Device' for the novel "Blood Toys" which is being made into a Motionbook which can be previewed at the Blood Toys Motionbook website.

Just trying out the new Vue 6.5 and it's wonderful new cloud lighting effects. Marvelous fun.
All done with one procedural terrain and one ecosystem. The regular sunlight copied and reversed direction, added softness of 5.0, and used as back fill. Small point light at the top of the lightning bolt.
Thanks to Dystopia for the building. My own ship model. Minimum Photoshop work on levels and hue.
Arrival
We arrive. They secret. We secret. We go. They stay ... forever.

"Is it raining or what?"
"I don' t know. Why?"
"Ought to check it out. Lots of condensation. Wait a sec... "

Reactor Monitor Display
Modeled 100% inside of Vue using only primitives and my own new radiusing Python scripts. See HERE for non-textured image.
All that was left..
The sign at the cemetery told the story. This was where Dr. Halversham kept his dental assistants.

This was a test to see how the new 16-bit Terrains worked in Vue. Pretty darn good, I'd say. This is a single 512x512 image used to drive the terrain. Then added Diffuse, Spec, Bump and Reflection maps.
Exhibit A and B
More work with Terrains.
On Patrol
Dude.
Yeah.
Was that you?
I think it was the chili.
I’m going blind, man. Dude, you broke my nose!
Open the vent.
I did already. People are dying down there.
Roll down the window … shut up about it, okay?
… tell my kids … I love them … (gasp)

Night Visit
Night Visit
Coming back to Rasini was a little weird. As we pulled up at the dock, we couldn't help but remember the last time. October-22. Festivus. Forty or more yachts were anchored off Rasini-point that night. Inside the lodge, a couple hundred of our best friends stumbled around. Singing. Loving. Sitting in silence under the stars. Maybe … sadly … dreaming of the future.
Tonight, a short year later, we were the only ones left. Not just the only ones on Lake Buel, but for a thousand miles surrounding. It could've been a terrifically sad moment, I guess, but as Noel pointed out, it was exciting. Dark, but exciting. The lake, Rasini, the lodge, and the sky ... now belonged to us and us alone.

Thought I'd try a night scene. All models built in Vue. Inspired by one of Syd's boat renderings. Took me about 6 hours to set up. Another 5 hours or so on the boat, most of it design time.
Levels adjusted in Photoshop.

Thought I'd try something a bit more realistic this time. It's amazing at what you can learn by studying the demo scenes which come with Vue. Thanks to Erka for inspiration, a tree and a tweaked terrain. And especially for sharing with us your excellent technique! Only levels adjusted in Pshop.

Gyro-Scooter Test Run
The latest fully enclosed Gryo-Scooters are tested at the wharehouse facility. All modelled inside Vue-I with exception of the Poser humans.
This is a rendering I did to try out some new procedural texture maps for the ground. My goal was to try and create an interesting ground texture with some reflective capabilities.
This image is scheduled to spend a week on Sci-Fi Channels home page starting July 10,2006.

Late Evening Transit
Same scene as below, but only later in the evening time.
Evening Transit
Here shows some of the large transit vehicles being loaded at the mega-wharehouse facility.
This was an image created for the Vue-I challenge, but I'm afraid there wasn't enough 'landscape' in it :-)
It was fun to do, and combines a number of the metablob vehicles. This scene modelled entirely in Vue (except the people).
Vapor Drive Test
The new vapor drive engine is tested one last time before product launch.
100% Modelled and Textured in Vue (except for the person, which comes with Vue).
Used Levels and DOF in Photoshop.

SatCom Spy Photo
SatCom-1 transcommunication station, not yet ready for delivery.
Vue-6 with Photoshop film rebate.
And here's the cool part. Most of this model is made up of text objects. The keyboard is a single eps file, the keys another, the display another. In all, there are a total of 9 eps files and 2 metablobs. Modelling this way in Vue is so fast and easy.
Virgin Shuttle Test
Richard Branson is at it again. His new XShuttle is just about ready for commercial launch. Soon you and your family can travel like NASA, experience weightlessness and travel around the world in only 90 minutes!
(Nausea bags included)
This is part of a training video I'm building for Vue-6 users. All modeled and textured inside of Vue.
