Introduction

Get ready to learn a whole new way of publishing! Using Altuit's Hemingway Content Management System (CMS), individuals are now able to easily create tutorials, manuals, interactive programs, reports, proposals, files and documentation. For the first time it is simple to create web sites, pdf documentation, printed books, interactive materials and manage changes to content all within a single system and using the same content.

This new paradigm we call "MultiPublishing."
How it works. First, you create your documentation using text and pictures. If you like, you can add multimedia content as well including Flash, sounds, video, music, and files of any kind.

Next, you upload your resources to Hemingway's CMS server using HemPC, our cross-platform application which loads on any Mac OSX or WinXP computer. HemPC will then allow you to organize your content however you like.

Now, once all of your writings, files, images, are online, you can apply different rendering templates to them. Some templates render them as websites, others as PDF files. You can even download entire rendered websites for display on CD-ROMs. In each case, the templates each have their own intelligence (called "rules") which render your content based upon a desired outcome. Of course, Hemingway can do many different tasks for you, but here we'll want to focus on the  task of creating a website, CD-ROM, and PDF document using the same content. We'll also discuss how to get your PDF document printed using 'Print On Demand' online resources.

So, let's get started!
